San Diego Trip

Recently we flew to San Diego, CA with Sterling's parents. It was an adventure. We wanted to introduce Brayten to the ocean and he loved everything about it except the water :) It took most of the day of traveling to get to the beach so when we finally got there Brayten and Ellie were exhausted and fell asleep. Once they finally woke up, they quickly started exploring. Brayten loved the sand and found a friend with a shovel to "work hard" digging holes. Ellie loved the sand and spent most of the time running her fingers through it and throwing it up in the air. Unfortunately it was a windy day and it always came back at her. It was a fun trip!

Ellie just turned 1 and is starting to stand on her own and has tried taking a step. They are fun and full of energy. Here are some pictures of Brayten's birthday party he had with some friends. We had water balloons, sprinklers, and cupcakes with ice cream cones. Lots of fun!The kids never understood the concept of the water balloons. They just threw them on the ground and watched them pop.
Ellie's party was supposed to be a little more low key with just some family, but ended up being more stressful than Brayten's. Ellie was hungry so she was screaming and fussing most of the time, while she threw spaghetti on the floor and smeared it all over herself. She loved the cupcake but demanded more of it constantly. By the time the evening was over me and Sterling were exhausted! She's a character and loves her food!

Updates

I have a lot of updating to do, but for the sake of no time, I'll have to do them one at a time. I'll cover the kids' birthdays first. Brayten just turned 3! He's talking (and has a lot to say) and enjoys trucks, as well as fighting the "gad guys" with his sword.
